First Wave began as a single company in 1992 with the acquisition of surplus inventory from American Airlines. Since that initial acquisition of commercial aircraft parts, First Wave Aviation now has one of the largest inventories of rotable and expendable parts in the world. Part sales at First Wave Aviation have more than doubled since 2001. Inventories are strategically located in the United States and South America.

In an effort to better serve the customers of First Wave Aviation, by offering more than 'just parts', First Wave MRO, Inc., was established in 2002, focusing on thrust reversers and composite repairs. Today, First Wave MRO has approximately 25,000 square feet of dedicated space in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a newly completed 225,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility located in Bristow, Oklahoma.

First Wave Brazil was established in 2004, initially to service the consumable needs of our strategic partner, Embraer, a local manufacturer of regional jets. First Wave Brazil has just constructed a new warehouse and maintenance facility in Taubaté, Brazil and further expansion, primarily for maintenance operations is in the planning stages. First Wave Brazil is now one of the largest distributors of consumable products to the aviation industry in South America.

Our most recent company, First Wave Interiors, Inc., was established in 2005 and is experiencing record growth and expansion compared to all the other companies carrying the First Wave name. This entity, as the name applies, focuses on interior repairs for commercial aircraft, including seats, galleys, Passenger Service Units (PSU's) and safety equipment such as life vests (crew and passenger), life rafts and emergency slides.
