First Wave MRO, Inc. is a FAR Part 145 maintenance organisation with EASA dual release authority as well as support agreements with various Original Equipment Manufacturers.  Our quality system is designed to comply not only with FAR – 145 , EASA – 145 and CASE 1A standards, but also most international Civil Aviation Authorities with the goal of exceeding all airline quality and engineering requirements.

First Wave MRO’s technical competencies center on the maintenance of bonded honeycomb structures, pneumatic ducting and the welding of exotic alloys.  The company’s primary focus is on the repair and overhaul of engine nacelle structures such as nose cowls, fan cowls, thrust reversers and exhaust nozzles.  In addition to nacelles, First Wave MRO also specialized in the repair and overhaul of flight surfaces, engine acoustic liners, aircraft ducting and tubing, and many additional airframe and system related components.

The bonding shop includes sheet metal and machining capabilities, a full BAC5555 compliant (PAA) process line, a Class 1 clean room, two (2) computer-controlled autoclaves (10ft x 30ft and 10ft x 32ft), prime and paint booths and dedicated processing areas for the repair of bonded structural components.  In-house back-shop capabilities and including actuator accessory shops add critical resources to the operation and further enhance core competencies and quick turn around times.  Engineering and DER services in conjunction with in-house tooling provide the ability to develop new repairs in a timely fashion, thereby avoiding the replacement of expensive OEM components.
